Imagine Queen Elizabeth II traveling to New York in the ’50s and going to jazz bars – that’s exactly what Erdem Moralıoğlu did when designing the Spring ’18 collection, after discovering the young monarch’s love of music and dancing. Cut from airy organza and detailed with a lilac grosgrain waistband, this ‘Celestina’ gown is intricately embroidered with flowers inspired by the motifs Sir Norman Hartnell stitched onto the Queen’s coronation dress. The artfully twisted neckline looks best with an updo.
