While researching Queen Elizabeth II for his Spring ’18 collection, Erdem Moralioglu came across a photo of her wearing a brocade dress to meet Duke Ellington in 1958. Modeled after the same opulent fabric, this metallic midi skirt from the runway is the type of piece the designer imagined her majesty would’ve worn if she visited a Harlem jazz club back then. It has delicate pleats for added volume and is cut to sit at your natural waist.
